    The Director, Crew Compliance is responsible for leading the Crew Compliance Center of Excellence (COE) for Raising Cane’s. The Crew Compliance COE has two primary purposes. First, to monitor and ensure that all Company Restaurants and locations are operating in full compliance with local, state and federal employment statutes in close partnership with Legal, Risk and Restaurant Excellence. Second, to develop and continuously improve Crew Relations practices and policies for the Company to ensure the Work Hard, Have Fun Culture is protected.


    • Will have primary responsibility for the management of Crew employment matters relating to governance, compliance and operational risk under the direction of the VP, Crew Relations and in close partnership with Legal, Risk and Restaurant Excellence
    • Responsible for managing day-to-day operations of employment compliance programs which includes design, oversight and remediation for procedural gaps
    • Identifies and develops corrective action plans for resolution or problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
    • Develops, initiates, maintains and revises Crew Relations policies and procedures with the goal of preventing illegal, unethical or improper conduct
    • Tracks key performance indicators, develops metrics and service level agreements for core compliance programs, tracks delivery against program objectives, leads improvement initiatives
    • Builds cross-functional partnerships specifically with Legal, Risk, Restaurant Excellence and other Crew Resources COEs(Compensation, Benefits & Recruitment) with the goal of driving alignment on all Crew employment related matters
    • Institutes and maintains an effective compliance communication program in close partnership with key stakeholders
    • Works with Legal, Training and Restaurant Excellence to develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new Crewmembers and ongoing training for all Crewmembers
    • Will lead administration and response for all unemployment claims
    • Will have oversight and accountability for the Crew Hotline administrative process and system including vendor relationships
    • Will have responsibility for all Crew Relations metrics and reporting
    • Will have accountability for administering and managing all Crewmember files and records

    Qualifications, Experience & Education

    • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred
    • 10+ years in progressively responsible roles focused on HR/Employment related compliance
    • 3+ years' experience in Human Resources or related compliance or legal function
    • Experience in a large public or privately held corporation
    • Demonstrated understanding of key industry regulatory trends and conditions
    • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization abilities in order to meet deadlines
    • Strong analytical and project management skills with superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail
    • Proven ability on ethical decision making--can be counted on to "do the right thing"
    • Able to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans
    • Strong relationship building skills
    • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of management in a clear and concise fashion
