  • Overview

    Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is seeking a Food Safety & Brand Standards Assessor to join the Restaurant Performance Standards Team (RPS). Our RPS Assessors are valued food safety & QA experts, trusted by our Restaurant Operators and Business Unit Leaders.  This role requires a professional who provides best-in-class, comprehensive on-site evaluations to help maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, Customer experience and brand protection.

    Responsibilities

    Restaurant Performance Standards assessments and support

    • Measure the performance of all operational, safety, Customer experience, and cleanliness standards against a finely detailed set of evolving standards effectively and consistently
    • Conduct multiple kinds of assessments across Restaurants for the purposes of tests, pilots, or other data gathering opportunities
    • Support any and all adjustments to the systems and programs used to measure performance

    Expertise, professionalism, and performance

    • Serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of food safety and all Raising Cane’s specific standards
    • Utilize experience and knowledge to be solution-oriented and focused without judgement
    • Represent Raising Cane’s as the example Crewmember in and out of Restaurants
    • Develop relationships with the Operators and Restaurant Crewmembers that we serve
    • Deliver comprehensive results with supporting documentation and pictures to empower Operators

    Scheduling

    • Schedule and manage changing quarterly list of assessments ensuring all are conducted on time, in the correct frequency, with all other guidelines achieved  
    • Schedule and manage all travel and expense tracking; responsible for adherence to travel standards and guidelines

    Communication

    • Professionally manage all communication to ensure prompt review and appropriate response to all communications
    • Partner with Restaurant Management and Operations Leadership to communicate successes, concerns and provide options for corrective action
    • Proactively provide feedback on opportunities to improve programs and systems for performance management, continuous improvement, or operational excellence

    Alignment and calibration

    • Provide experience and insights on new and different ways to achieve alignment and consistency across the RPS team
    • Focus on the intention to serve our Operators and Crewmembers and help Restaurants improve performance, while ensuring the Customers and the brand are always protected
    • Align with organizational perspectives and standards in an ever-changing and rapidly growing business

     

    Qualifications

    • College Degree recommended
    • For external hire, minimum of 5 years of Restaurant leadership or QA experience with a proven record of success required, preferably in the fast food or casual dining industry
    • Minimum of 5 years of Restaurant leadership or QA experience with a proven record of success required, preferably in the fast food or casual dining industry
    • 3 to 5 years management experience in the hospitality field desirable
    • ServSafe (or similar) certification/qualification
    • Additional food safety or quality related certifications recommended (HACCP, SQF, etc.)
