    Position / Role Description


    Crew Relations acts as the Voice of the Crew, protector of our Company and its Culture and Values. Their role is to listen & engage, always acting in a objective and consistent manner, in alignment with the Company’s organizational pillars, always doing the right thing. The Field Employee Relations Manager provides Crewmember support for Raising Cane’s multi-state, multi-unit business.  Working directly with the designated Restaurant Leaders, Crew Relations Team Members, the Legal Team and Restaurant Management, the Field Employee Relations Manager is a dedicated resource to focus solely on Compliance and Crewmember issues and concerns.  They will actively manage and resolve Crewmember issues and concerns across the Company wherever needed including harassment, discrimination, wage and hour, and other Raising Cane’s Crew Relations policies and compliance.

    Primary Responsibility – Support Restaurants and RSO

    • Crew Relations – Investigates and assists in the resolution of Crewmember issues and concerns in close collaboration with appropriate business partners utilizing the Company Fact Finding Process.
    • Assisting Restaurant– Coaches, supports and educates Restaurant Management with the proper handling of various Crew-related matters.
    • Document Process - Builds cross-functional partnerships specifically with Legal, Risk, Restaurant Excellence and other Crew Resources areas (Compensation, Benefits & Recruitment) with the goal of driving alignment on all Crew employment related matters.
    • Policy Support – Responsible for managing day-to-day operations of employment compliance programs which includes design, oversight and remediation for procedural gaps.
    • Compliance - Will have primary responsibility for the management of Crew employment matters relating to governance, compliance and operational risk under the direction of the VP, Crew Relations and in close partnership with Legal, Risk and Restaurant Excellence.
    • Training Support – Works with Restaurant Management, Training and Legal to provide both reactive and proactive training regarding all Crew Relations related matters



    Position / Role Requirements


    The Field Employee Relations Manager, Fry Cook and Cashier, will possess a minimum of 2-3 years of Employee Relations experience, combined with 3+ years with direct experience in providing HR/Employment-related compliance support to a large-scale, growth-oriented, multi-unit Restaurant, consumer service and/or retail organization with a field organization of relevant scope/scale. He/She will be a high-intellect, passionate HR leader with a strong work ethic who can establish and proactively manage appropriate priorities with significant drive and sense of urgency. This hands-on leader will innately bring a strong partnering and customer focused orientation with a bias for continual improvement and action.  They will prioritize and address Crew issues and concerns objectively, serve as the advocate for the Crew and protect the Company.

    Qualifications, Experience & Education


    • Strong working knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and guidelines
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Possess a minimum of 2-3 years of HR/Employment compliance experience
    • 3+ years direct experience providing Crew Relations investigation support to a large-scale, growth-oriented, multi-unit Restaurant, consumer service and/or retail organization with a field organization of relevant scope/scale

    SHRM certification, PHR or SPHR, preferred
