  • Overview

    The Security Operations Manager role is responsible for managing the all of the security operational processes for Raising Cane’s. This role will have responsibility over security monitoring coverage, alerting threshold definitions and the execution of all corrective actions for all security incidents. This is a hands-on role, that requires a person to work independently and with correct urgency. This person is expected to be an expert in the cyber incident response process. The role will manage other resources, the number and makeup of the team will change as the organization grows.

    Job Responsibilities


    Subject matter expert and support

    • Provide in-house support for discovery, response and recovery actions taken because of security incidents


    Maintenance and execution of the incident response plan

    • Define, test and maintain the incident response plan. This will extend from designing executive level table top exercises all the way down to ensuring that knowledge articles for analyst responses are handled.


    Monitor Security Operations Performance

    • Develop and execute methods to test the effectiveness of the security operations processes and supporting tools.


    Vulnerability Mitigation

    • Tweak and adjust monitoring and response process based upon known vulnerabilities.




    • Experience incident response/management (5-10 years of IT experience and 2+ years of Management experience, preferred)


    Education (or equivalent experience)

    • 4-year degree Computer Science/ Information Systems or 2 yr. Computer Science education with comparable experience, preferred
    • Appropriate technical certifications are desired (CISSP, CISM, GIAC, etc…)


    • Must have the knowledge and understanding of enterprise level IT infrastructure and applications, including SaaS, Cloud, and Premise based solutions
    • Must have a strong understanding of information security principles
    • Ability to operate and have availability during non-standard business hours and weekends, as needed
    • Must possess good IT technical, problem solving, and logical computer trouble shooting skills.
