Supervises a team of Training Advisors who are primarily responsible for the delivery and implementation of effective learning systems as existing prototypes, both Company and Franchise locations.  The Regional Training Manager is responsible for enabling the company’s mission and vision by promoting and supporting a learning culture and guiding the implementation of the company’s learning strategy.  Provides guidance and expertise on training and development issues to the Operations Team.  In addition, they assist with the development of organizational learning systems that support the needs of the business, align with overall Raising Cane’s learning goals and help to improve individual and organizational performance.  Collaborates with a variety of internal stakeholders for the purpose of developing and implementing new company processes and systems.  This position requires 50-75% travel domestically.


Restaurant Support / Field-Based (Company & Franchise locations)

  • Lead a team of Training Advisors
  • Ensures that training assessments are conducted and completed, as directed.  Monitors results and makes recommendations for follow-up and performance improvement
  • Helps establish and maintains an environment conducive to learning and retaining Crewmembers and Managers
  • Facilitates training classes, seminars, and working sessions
  • Implements training and development coursework, programs, and systems
  • Ensures the highest levels of training standards at all Cane’s Restaurants
  • Assists with the coaching, training and development of Managers and Crewmembers and the growth and development of Certified Trainers
  • Validate systems and effectiveness of training programs by assessing objectives, compliance, and providing guidance on corrective actions and interventions
  • Supports the organization with certification and follow up on Training Restaurants and Certified Training Restaurants, manage regional strategies for TR/CTR goals and development
  • Ensures proper execution of all MIT training processes and procedures in Training Restaurants
  • Communicates with MIT’s through one-on-one follow-ups during Training Restaurant visits
  • Conducts needs assessments and identifies gaps for Training Restaurants
  • Conducts and documents Training Restaurant visits to evaluate operational effectiveness and training requirements
  • Manages and coordinates the process of providing consistent and effective training for all Restaurant Crewmembers
  • Serves as in-field subject matter expert for training related questions and needs. Oversees implementation of new and updated training materials, ensuring processes are in place to guarantee the appropriate communication cascades.
  • Partners with Training Development and Operations Services team to ensure materials are effectively implemented; make recommendations on material revisions as necessary
  • Partners with Operations leadership to recommend and implement training solutions based on gaps that exist. Works with leadership to address needs
  • Facilitates and coordinates the development of training plans in conjunction with Operations within each assigned Region, Market and Area to address training needs.
  • Works with other departments to support development, delivery and sustainment of MIT, Operational Initiatives and System Training
  • Create and implement project plans as needed
  • Works in collaboration with other departments as appropriate to employ best practices, create consistent training solutions, deploy training programs, measure the effectiveness of training, and sustain training


Performance Consulting/Coaching

  • Conduct training needs assessments consistent with training organization standards and programs
  • Identify, develop and implement performance based learning strategies and training solutions that are aligned with business objectives
  • Lead and develop effective field training teams; achieve all annual objectives


Office Support/ Office-Based


  • Lead and support team initiatives
  • Attend key meetings including but not limited to Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, Area Operations Development Meetings, local GM meetings
  • Lead and facilitate monthly and quarterly team meetings in partnership with L & D leadership
  • Serves as subject matter expert [SME] for learning system development
  • Actively reviews and provides feedback on all learning systems in development and provide feedback
  • Contributes to the development of learning systems through task forces and project teams
  • Plan, design, implement, and follow-up on all projects as assigned by a supervisor
  • Observation, evaluation and feedback on learning effectiveness
  • Completes expense reports and other administrative duties as needed and in accordance with deadlines
  • Responds to e-mail, phone calls, and voicemails in accordance with How We Do Business policies


Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred

  • Training certifications desirable
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum 2 years Restaurant operations experience required, quick service or fast casual preferred
  • Previous multi-unit training experience required, minimum 5 years preferred
  • Proficient in a variety of technology systems, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and able to adapt to new systems quickly
  • 1 to 3 years management experience in the hospitality field required
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for change management, curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and adult learners, and measurement of training results
  • Demonstrated understanding of the general principles of Adult Learning Theory

  • 50-75% car and air travel, overnight travel required
