This role is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining learning and development documentation to support companywide programs, initiatives and projects.  Outputs include e-learning, video, interactive pdf, ILT, VILT and text based materials. This role will be responsible for developing engaging and effective learning tools for a broad range of audiences, including front-line Crewmembers, Managers and those working at our Restaurant Support Office. 


This is a full-time position based in our Plano, Texas Restaurant Support Office and reports to the Director of Training Development.


  • Define learning objectives based on requirements and using sound instructional design expertise
  • Develop new learning courseware using blended learning solutions
  • Establish and execute project plans to successfully deliver projects on-time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to collect content for training solutions
  • Maintain and update existing content
  • Act as internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to Training issues relating to assigned program or section area
  • Serve as an innovative expert for training systems and tools, staying current of trends and tools, and providing direction and assistance on the development of new and effective ways to train.
  • Follow through to completion with delegated assignments


  • Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years’ experience in Instructional Design role
  • Skilled in Articulate Storyline 2
  • Experienced in Captivate
  • Experienced in creating videos using video editing software (such as Camtasia)
  • Skilled in InDesign
  • Prefer graphic design experience and knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)
  • Aptitude to do computer work daily, minimum of 7 hours per day
  • Ability to work on a full-time basis at the Restaurant Support Office in Plano, TX

  • Able to adapt style and presentation based on the learner
  • Able to articulate thoughts and ideas efficiently and clearly, both verbal and written
  • Ability to shift priorities based on the current business needs and to make progress on multiple, concurrent projects
  • Able to develop and manage plans and timelines for both simple and complex projects
