The Applications Administrator is responsible for all aspects of application administration for assigned applications. This includes; end user support, application health monitoring, upgrades, performance monitoring, documenting known processes, creating new procedures, development, deployment and internal communications. This position has a heavy solution-oriented focus and requires immediate response to system outages and emergencies via remote access or on-site.


  • Subject matter expert and support – Provide in-house support for issues, features, and functionality related to a variety of applications
  • Configuration, Installation, and Maintenance of assigned Applications – Administration of the applications through appropriate application management tools. Monitor applications and or interfaces used by the application. Setup and configuration of application (security, basic/complex functions, backup, client tools, interfaces…etc.).
  • Maintenance/Upgrade– Perform any necessary patching and or upgrades on servers, application components, SaaS and/or desktops according to well-documented maintenance plans, either through existing plans or by creating new ones.
  • Design and Implement new IT systems – Works closely with the Director and Manager of Corporate Systems in assisting with planning, development, and deployment of new IT systems, and recommends solutions for improvements to the current IT systems, including but not limited to implementing automation tasks as needed.
  • Project Management – Has necessary project management skills to build and execute project plans for application upgrades, patches, moves…etc.
  • Quality Assurance – Perform rigorous testing of patches or new version of software prior to implementation, as well as partnering with the business units to create a repository of appropriate testing methods.
  • Documentation – Develops and assist in the documentation of IT functions and procedures as needed. Periodic review and maintenance of disaster recovery planning for assigned applications.
  • Development – Participates as needed in customization or alteration of applications with appropriate vendors, external partners, or cross-functional internal units. Will need to be able to make advanced configuration changes or customizations in certain circumstances.
  • Training – Assist with training of users of the application on features and functionality as needed.
  • Other – Performs other duties as assigned.


  • 4 year degree Computer Science/ Information Systems or 2 yr. Computer Science education with comparable experience
  • 5+ years Application Administration experience
  • Appropriate technical certifications are desired

  • Must have the knowledge and understanding of enterprise level IT infrastructure and applications, including SaaS, Cloud, and Premise based solutions
  • Ability to operate and have availability during non-standard business hours and weekends, as needed
  • Must possess good IT technical, problem solving, and logical computer trouble shooting skills.
  • Exhibits dedication and thoroughness while still meeting deadlines
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess the aptitude and attitude to learn new applications and technologies
  • Ability to manage and maintain effective working relationships with peers and vendors
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Should possess experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems and platforms
  • Experience with Office365 Administration
  • Experience with using SharePoint Administration
  • Experience with SaaS applications management is required
  • Experience with VMWare ESXi a plus
  • Experience with MS SQL a plus
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs
