Overview

The Senior Analyst, Compensation is responsible for working with cross-functional departments to administer and deliver compensation (total rewards) packages to employees.

 

The ultimate objective of the Analyst is to provide information to company leadership and recruiting team to make salary recommendations, while crafting competitive individualized compensation (and total rewards) packages.  The Analyst will take lead by updating and communicating the ongoing performance management initiatives and the annual merit increase and bonus processes.  

 

The Analyst will be responsible for the administration and processing of updating salary surveys and databases, while tailoring job bands to specific market wage analyses.  The Analyst will be required to manipulate data by using Excel and other software programs to support recommendations made.

Responsibilities

  • Communication: Respond to management requests on compensation offerings for new and existing positions. Provide all necessary documentation and follow up resources on each response. Work with internal teams to communicate information to the organization as a whole.
  • Compensation: Maintains databases with current employee salary for customized and industry reporting and analysis. Works with vendor partners to stay abreast of market changes and implements the required changes in databases. Annual review of corporate positions and composites created to match the job descriptions. Assists FP&A in annual budgeting compensation components and updates throughout the year with major changes. Educates all levels on compensation philosophy, components of total compensation, and best practices in total compensation design and administration. Conducts in-depth analysis on various plans in place and their effectiveness and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Total Rewards: Provide wage documentation to process year end reporting, life and disability requests and other federal wage requirement notices. Updates leadership on individual market wages based in federal, state and local minimum wage requirements. Performs annual non-discrimination testing and 401k audits.
  • Relocation: Partners with relocation vendors and recruiting team on providing approval of recommended packages based on factors outlined in plan document.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Administer and run monthly reporting as needed. Participate in salary and other industry related surveys. Update compensation tool with relevant data. Provide several ad hoc reports as needed. Interpret report findings and provide suggestions for improvement and change.
  • Job Descriptions: Partner with Human Resources team in creating and maintaining job descriptions for all positions within the organization and the corresponding market composites for the positions.
  • Support: Provide support on initiatives such as annual events (bonus planning, cost of living adjustments and total reward statements) and off cycle promotion or merit increases, recognition programs and special requests from leadership.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of compensation or financial analysis experience
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Excel
  • HRIS experience preferred, especially Workday
  • Must have experience in interpreting and applying data
  • Proficient in a variety of technology systems, especially Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Aptitude to do computer work on a daily basis, minimum of 6 hours per day
  • Creative and Flexible
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Compensation, financial analysis or Human Resources certifications are a plus
