The Manager of Restaurant Systems role is responsible for all aspects of application administration for assigned Restaurant applications. This position will lead and grow a team of top performers, develop implementation roadmaps, and ensure system reliability which aligns with Raising Cane’s strategy and vision.


  • Builds a team of top performers through coaching, developing high standards, empowers the team and hire excellent talent
  • Responsible for ensuring restaurant systems availability and leading the restaurant systems team via standards and procedures for gathering requirements, developing implementation plans and providing individual support to team members
  • Partners with IT support for production issue escalation, any system restaurant upgrades, and vendor management
  • Functions as a liaison with between IT and business users to understand priorities, communicate any production issue and to ensure projects are successful
  • Defines and optimizes restaurant system methodology and business process to support Company objectives
  • Executes against a strategic roadmap for restaurant systems that is aligned with Raising Cane’s strategy and vision
  • Works with our business partners to ensure that all restaurant systems enable and empower the initiatives and process improvements required by Raising Cane’s
  • Ensures swift issue resolution and communicate effectively with business clients through the management channels of the IT team
  • Leads the team to continually identify, document and remediate technical and operational gaps where they exist
  • Provides regular updates to leadership on project implementation status, issues, best practices and results, and provide management and oversight to all restaurant system projects
  • Supports and guides relations with key vendors of restaurant systems, including installation, support services, data quality and up-time
  • Establishes strong security (PCI) practices across all systems and processes and implement ongoing programs to ensure future compliance and stay abreast of best practices in the areas of security and compliance
  • Collaborates with other IT departments for troubleshoot escalated production issues, defining new process and team interactions to ensure a quality in-store experience for our customers, employee and support staff

  • Eight (8) to Ten (10) years total restaurant systems experience
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years in a people management role
  • Solid understanding of restaurant technology concepts, practices and processes such as POS operations, POS menu design, food cost and inventory, cash management, time and attendance, above store reporting
  • Experience managing a minimum of 50 plus point of sale systems in a production environment
  • Experience with vendor management which includes defining statements of work
  • Managing multiple vendors for new products, technical roadmaps, and support
  • Demonstrated experience building a team of top performers
  • Experience with PCI audits and controls
