    The Real Estate Manager will perform & execute all tasks and projects assigned by the Regional Director of Real Estate in a timely and efficient manner  The “Mission” of the Real Estate Department is to accomplish the acquisition of locations for the development of financially successful new Raising Cane’s Restaurants in accordance with the schedule dictated company’s annual growth plan


    Job Responsibilities


    Market Specific Growth Strategies

    • Develop market penetration strategy in new markets, consistent with company’s expansion strategy, utilizing 6 Box sales formula Strategy will be developed working closely with Regional Director of Real Estate, operations and marketing
    • Manage an established network of real estate brokers to execute market specific penetration strategies and identify potential sites for new restaurant locations
    • Standardize and continuously improve trade area and site selection criteria and sales forecasting and sales transfer models Identify and continuously develop data resources for analyzing trade area sales generators
    • In Conjunction with the Regional Director of Real Estate, and Finance Department, create and continuously update methods for analyzing the sales performance of new restaurants This analysis shall include the validation of the sales and sales transfer forecasts presented to the Real Estate Committee when site approval was acquired
    • Draft Store Trade Area Analysis Reports and assist the marketing department in identifying sales generators for marketing opportunities
    • Prioritize sites with high sales volume and brand awareness potential in accordance with market penetration strategies and present these sites to senior management for approval

    New Restaurant Site Acquisition - Company

    • Work with broker network to prepare and present new restaurant site recommendation packages to the Real Estate Committee The presentation shall include a sales forecast, a sales transfer forecast, and an ROI analysis The goal of the presentation is to gain the Real Estate Committee’s approval of the site and its related investment
    • With legal representation, negotiate the lease or purchase contract for the acquisition of approved sites
    • After the site acquisition contract is executed, set up and maintain a schedule for meeting critical deadlines within the development period Insure all parties associated with the development of a new restaurant are aware of the critical dates Assist the development team and the finance department in any matters related to landlords, sellers, or governmental authorities
    • Coordinate with the RDC team’s “due diligence” efforts in determining site feasibility, acquisition of all required approvals and development pro-forma budgeting to insure the timely development of the new restaurants As used herein, the RDC team includes outside professionals such as brokers, attorneys, architects, engineers, environmental consultants, and certain third party vendors
    • Provide to the Finance and Accounting Departments all information regarding the financial obligations associated with acquisition contracts
    • Insure all information regarding our contract obligations is provided to all departments involved with the execution of those obligations Place particular emphasis on assisting the Accounting Department in meeting all contract related monetary obligations

    Real Estate Portfolio Administration

    • Advise senior management of pending expiration dates and renewal option exercise dates so that appropriate decisions may be made and executed in a timely fashion Negotiate all lease renewals and lease restructuring
    • Coordinate and manage the new restaurant development schedule keeping all departments advised of new restaurant critical dates
    • Assist the Regional Director of Real Estate, as directed, in the acquisition of funding the development of new restaurants Coordinate or assist, as the case may be, various members of the RDC team in the funding and payment of reimbursable expenses related to the development of new restaurants
    • Participate in weekly RDC project status meetings and provide up to date reports regarding acquisition of sites and associated critical dates


    • Act as spokesperson for the Company in all communications with landlords and their representatives
    • Maintain a membership in ICSC and represent the company at selected ICSC functions




    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate
    • Must possess knowledge of site development real estate trends and practices
    • Experience with Prototypical QSR drive thru development
    • Excellent negotiating skills

    Education (or equivalent experience)

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required
