    Role Description


    The Total Quality Poultry Manager- responsible for quality through all phases of poultry development, testing and implementation/production. This position evaluates chicken and establishes quality metrics/standards with suppliers, distrbutors and Restaurants to ensure adherence to specification. This role will establish a schedule for visits to production facilities based on risk criteria to ensure continued compliance to specification and processing criteria. This position will establish a quality program to evaluate finished product, identify quality trends, and communicate to key stakholders prior to shipment to Restaurants. This role works very closely with Purchasing, Research and Development, and Restaurant Excellence to ensure objectives are met. The Total Quality Poultry Manager is responsible for establishing strong relationships and quality communications with poultry suppliers at the plant level.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Utilize knowledge of poultry industry to maintain and improve quality standards of chicken through processing, storage, and distribution
    • Support the development and implementation of new poultry innovations/solutions
    • Develop and implement quality assurance procedures for poultry products to ensure ongoing adherence to specifications
    • Works closely with Supply Chain. R&D, Restaurant Excellence, and Operations to ensure quality expectations and specifications are met
    • Measure supplier compliance to quality and food safety standards through regular onsite facity evaluations
    • Develop collaborative relationships with poultry suppliers to identify and implement process improvements
    • Maintain qualified supplier database and manage supplier approval process for poultry suppliers
    • Monitor, communicate, and proactively ensure compliance to laws and regulations governing poultry



    • 3+ years quality assurance experience experience in a restaurant or food manufacturing environment
    • Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes
    • Broad knowledge of restaurant operations, particularly in a chicken concept (or willingness to learn)
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex quality issues and achieve desired result

    Education (or equivalent experience)

    • BS degree in a Poultry Science, Food Science, or other with related work experience


    • Proficient in a variety technology systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) and preferably FoodLogiQ and Arrowstream
    • Frequent travel- up to 75%
